The Abridged Sinner or Saint Guide to Vibrators

In the interests of making a comparison of the vibrators I've reviewed easier for you, the reader, I've decided to make a quick blow by blow comparison of the contenders thus far reviewed.  Of course, the full reviews are always available and contain quite a bit more information, this is just the nitty gritty...sort of The Abridged Sinner or Saint Guide to Vibrators.

From left to right, we have:

Fun Factory Sinnflut Reality
  • Material: Medical grade silicone (easy to clean with soap and water, doesn't allow growth of bacteria inside the material like jelly and porous rubbers do)
  • Power: Built-in rechargeable lithium battery (comes with charger)
  • Vibration strength: 8.5/10
  • Pros: The silicone material is phenomenal (soft, squishy, warms to your body temperature, never gets sticky and doesn't smell, easy to clean), waterproof, easy to use controls, multiple vibration strengths and patterns, no batteries to replace
  • Cons: Could be a bit stronger to compensate for the silicone dampening the vibration a bit, might be a bit big for some people's tastes

Elemental Pleasures Le Lynx Deluxe Kit
  • Material: Titanium (easy to clean with soap and water, can be put in the dishwasher or boiled to sanitize)
  • Power: 3 CR123 batteries
  • Vibration strength: 9/10
  • Pros: Extremely well made, waterproof, beautiful, strong vibrations, motor in tip, interchangeable heads for different speeds, refurbishment to replace motor/components available from manufacturer
  • Cons: Very expensive, requires batteries, to change vibration speed you have to change tips

Fun Factory Layaspot
  • Material: Elastomed
  • Power: 2 AAA's
  • Vibration strength: 5/10
  • Pros: Easy to use, ergonomic shape, small, can be used during intercourse without getting in the way
  • Cons: Vibrations aren't terribly strong, needs batteries, the battery door may come open on you if you're not careful

Lelo Nea Pleasure Object
  • Material: Plastic with porcelain finish
  • Power: Built in rechargeable battery
  • Vibration strength: 3/10
  • Pros: Extremely small, ergonomic shape, easy to use, buttons can be locked to prevent accidental activation
  • Cons: Vibrations are weak, expensive

And last but not least (and not pictured because it was too big to fit in the picture with the others)...

Hitachi Magic Wand
  • Material: Vinyl plastic
  • Power: Electric
  • Vibration strength: 10/10
  • Pros: Extremely strong vibrations, no batteries, extremely easy to use
  • Cons: Head is susceptible to bacteria and needs to be cleaned often, big, bulky, only 2 speeds to choose from, not very erotic feeling
